In a few weeks, CSU Dominguez Hills will again host the free conference, “Connecting Women to Power” (men are also welcome to attend). As a previous attender of this conference, I’m looking forward to all the insightful information they have in store, and I thought you might like a heads up about the upcoming event as well.

The conference will be on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 8:30-5:30, and it is free to attend (but space is limited so all attendees need to register at www.boe.ca.gov/ConnectingWomenToPower). Many esteemed keynote speakers bring their experience and expertise to the table with strategies for gaining a clear vision, winning contracts, and tips for power thinking.

Attenders have many breakout sessions to choose from, including these that caught my eye:

  • Successful Leadership and Management Skills

  • Building a Business on a Shoe String Budget

  • Business Plan Development & Legal Issues for Small Business

  • Capitalizing on Tax Credits

  • Utilizing Social Media: 2014 Marketing Trends and Strategies

…And quite a few other helpful topics on Venture Capital, Estate Planning, Government Contracting, and more. For those of us who need a re-charge, many of the topics are inspirational, like:

  • Refresh and Restart

  • Promoting Your Business with the Message of You

  • The Hidden Power of A Woman

I believe education is the key to success. No matter what your interests or needs are, this conference is great for gaining knowledge and inspiration to help you bring your business to its full potential. I can’t wait and I hope to see you there!
