It’s funny how things work out in life.  Last November my business coach asked the mastermind group I’m in to decide on a goal for 2013 and share with the members.  I said I was going to become a speaker and give 10 presentations in 2013.  Now keep in mind this is not something I’ve done, but I had a desire to start sharing my expertise through informative talks to help others learn information in areas of bookkeeping and payroll.  I also want to start teaching kids (and their parents) how to be financially savvy as so many are in financial trouble and have never really learned how to manage money.

A few weeks after making the commitment to speak, I found out that a networking group I’m in (Leads Club) was going to have a seminar at sea and was looking for speakers.  I thought to myself, “Should I contact them and let them know I have information to share?”  It was a bit scary stepping out of my comfort zone to pursue this opportunity, but I did it.  I felt this was confirmation that I was supposed to be sharing my expertise with those who could benefit from hearing the information.  I’ll be one of the presenters at a seminar during the day at sea and I’ll be discussing “Business Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make and How to Avoid Them.”

I’m so excited!  I love cruises (I’ve been on 3: honeymoon, 10th anniversary and 20th anniversary) so I’m thrilled to be able to go on another one.  And add the benefit of networking, and it’s going to be amazing.  Meeting face to face with others, talking about business and personal things, and learning about each other develops deeper relationships (what some call the know/like/trust factor).  I know I’m going to come away with friendships that don’t even exist yet.  I can’t wait to meet new people and have fun throughout the week with them.

Would you like to join us?  The cruise will be departing September 22 for 7 nights, sailing from Vancouver and ending in Los Angeles.  It is sure to be a fun filled and informative week.  We’ll be aboard the Princess Star which was named #17 on Conde Nast’s  list of the best “Big” ships at sea.  Ports of call include Victoria BC, Seattle WA, Astoria OR, San Francisco & Santa Barbara CA.  If you are interested in coming along, contact the travel agent handling the booking (Nancy) at 408 559-8331 or www.tvlwithme.com.

It would be great if you could join us.  Imagine developing deeper relationships while having fun on a cruise (and of course learning great business information to help you be even more successful!)  I hope to see you there.
