This past weekend I attended Caterina Rando’s Business Breakthrough Summit in San Mateo, CA. I had actually heard of her at the Success Summit hosted by Today’s Innovative Woman Magazine (www.todaysinnovativewoman.com) a few years ago. I had heard she had a publishing company and helped people become authors by writing a chapter for a compilation book. I didn’t know she had other offerings such as this Business Breakthrough Summit. Maybe she didn’t actually have this 2 day seminar when I first heard about her, or maybe it just wasn’t what I needed at the time, so I don’t recall this being something I could do.
Years later she was one of the speakers at this year’s Success Summit that I attended in Dallas. I wanted to hear what she had to say as her topic was how to become a sought after speaker. I have just recently begun speaking to groups, and thought her information couldn’t have come at a better time. Because I actually have a speaking commitment during the LA Success Summit in September, I travelled to Dallas to hear her. My daughter had the opportunity to come with me as well. I thought as a 19 year old that some of the speakers would have information that would be useful to her too.
During my time chatting with Caterina, I heard of an opportunity to join her for a project (more on that another time) and attending the Business Breakthrough Summit was part of the package. I flew up early Saturday and back home Sunday night after the conclusion so I didn’t miss out on any work in the office. I’m so glad I went. There was lots of great information shared, and I wrote down some action items I’ll need to accomplish soon.
