This past weekend was the Mom-Entrepreneur Celebration hosted by the Mom-e Club which I attended as a top 10 finalist for the Mom-Entrepreneur of the Year award. I had not heard of this organization until a business friend posted information about their contest on Facebook.
After seeing the post, I decided to apply. To qualify, a professional video had to be created and submitted about being a mom and an entrepreneur. Ten finalists were chosen and then the voting began. The woman with the most votes would be crowned the winner.
The Mom-e Club brings mom and women entrepreneurs together in a safe, comfortable environment to build meaningful connections and learn from one another through meetings, events and educational webinars. I learned they have a local chapter after checking out their website and went for a visit.
The celebration itself included vendor booths, a silent auction, and the opportunity to meet other business women who have juggled being a business owner and mother. A grant was given away to one entrepreneur to assist her with moving her business to the next level. Each finalist was introduced and a portion of their video was played.
I was not named the winner of this contest, but had a lot of people tell me they enjoyed watching the video and learning more about how I started and what it’s like to be an entrepreneur Mom. I loved seeing people’s comments saying they appreciated how hard I work. What an encouragement!
If you didn’t have the chance to see my video and would like to do so, see below.
Thanks again for your support over the years. It is truly appreciated!
