Last week the Torrance Chamber of Commerce hosted the Business Awards 2016 luncheon. Affordable Bookkeeping and Payroll Services was one of the businesses honored and received recognition as the Small Business of the Year. I have to admit I was surprised when I received notice of being selected for this award as it isn’t something you apply to win. To be honest, I’m not sure of the criteria used to judge who would be named.
When I learned of this honor, I wanted to make sure my employees knew they were a part of our success. I asked them if they’d like to attend the ceremony with me. I also invited a few customers to join us as well. What a fun time sitting around the table allowing my clients to meet each other and learn about each other’s businesses, talk to my employees on a more casual basis, and hear the other recipients’ stories as they received their awards.

I am thankful the Torrance Chamber of Commerce saw the wonderful work we do to serve the community and honored us with this award. As I said in my thank you speech, Affordable Bookkeeping and Payroll wouldn’t be successful without the help of my amazing staff and business partners who have referred clients to us.
