Can you believe it is already December 31st? I don’t know how it is possible. Time seems to be going faster and faster for me. I don’t know if it’s because I have so much I’m involved with that the time just flies, or that I’m older and one year is a smaller percentage of time when compared to the number of years I’ve been on the planet. Maybe it’s a bit of both.
I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope that you, your family, and your business are blessed in this coming year. I know it’s been tough to be a business owner in the last few years. Costs continue to rise, customers have less cash to spend on our services, work hours may be getting longer in order to get it all done without having to pay additional wages, etc. But, we’ve managed to adjust with the times, and here we are at the brink of a new year.
I have plans for what I’d like to accomplish in 2013. Have you set your goals? If not, set a goal that is a bit of a stretch, but not too far out of reach. Have someone hold you accountable so that you continue to strive for that success. Continue to find ways you can help other small businesses as well. It may be writing a review on Yelp or LinkedIn that others can see, promoting them on Facebook, referring people you know to them who need the service they offer, etc. Together we can help each other be successful.
