Are you tired of guessing your way through budgets and projections? In this episode, Ilene Marcus reveals how to use innovation accounting and pro forma modeling to make confident business decisions, understand true costs, and attract investors. #InnovationAccounting #EntrepreneurFinance #ProFormaPower

Key Notes

  • A pro forma is a dynamic financial model, not just a static budget.
  • Include tangibles (materials, labor) and intangibles (time, energy, overhead) in your calculations.
  • Factor in unit economics to determine what it really costs to deliver a product or service.
  • Use tools like industry reports, AI, and mentors to avoid guessing costs.
  • Validate your pricing through research and customer feedback, not just perceived value.
  • Financial modeling helps tell your business story to investors and partners
