One of my clients is a corporate event planner, and I was invited to attend the holiday party they planned for a large business that occurred this past Saturday night. I always enjoy seeing what my clients do, and this gives me the chance to see their magic at work. Usually I just see the supporting paperwork to help with payroll, sales tax, bank reconciliations, etc. But seeing my client doing their best work is fun!
This event was hosted in the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA and is somewhere I’d never been before. I know it really isn’t that far away, but it’s not a place I had thought about visiting before the invitation. However, I was excited that I would get to see something new. Unfortunately not all of the museum was open since the event was in the evening, but we did get to see some areas and there was a lot of interesting information and photos.
Upon arriving, we decided we were hungry and ready for dinner which had already begun being served. As is usual, everything was delicious. There was tasty chicken, beef, vegetables, various potato options, salad with many choices of toppings, and decadent desserts. We tasted many of the items and enjoyed every one! What I always experience when I eat my client’s food is tender, tasty morsels whether it’s Chicken Marsala or BBQ ribs, tri-tip or pork. I have enjoyed their food and told many about them. During dinner entertainment was happening with a band and some special performances by dancers, and there was also “casino night” most of the evening for the employees to have the chance to win prizes from their company.
Now I understand that the client has to have the budget to do things in places such as the Nixon Library or Science Center, and what my client does when planning events in these locations is amazing.
