Christina and I

A little over a week ago I met up with someone who has been a friend of mine since we were eight years old.  She was in the area for a business conference and wanted to get together before she left town. We met in elementary school because I was friends with her step-sister and was invited over to her house for a birthday party.  We became friends that day and were for a few years until I moved to a new city just before my eleventh birthday.

This was before the internet, so we couldn’t stay in touch through e-mail, Facebook or Skype.  Although we probably had each other’s phone numbers (or at least our Moms did), at that age you played with friends you saw at school or neighbors, so I don’t think we thought much about talking on the phone.

As freshmen in high school, we were reunited when her family moved to the same town as me and we were at the same high school.  We also became friends with another girl, and the three of us did everything together when possible (such as the school dances where we triple dated and always had a photo of us together whether it was the toga, Hawaiian, Sadie Hawkins, Prom or winter formal dances).

Due to life circumstances, the three of us now live in different parts of the country and have been separated for many years. Thankfully we have stayed in touch and continue to be good friends. I was glad I had this opportunity to visit with my friend, even if only for a few hours.

So why do I share this information with you on my business page?  Because I want to let you know that I want to have long-term relationships with my clients and business associates just like I do with personal friends.

There are quite a few of my clients and business associates I call friends.  We may not tell all of our hopes and dreams and deep-down feelings, but we are friends nonetheless.  We know about each other’s families, and what we are doing in business, and support each other and want to see each other succeed.

There are others I know on a less personal level, but I still have built a relationship of mutual trust and respect and I value what has developed.  I don’t want to be a business owner who is only interested in the services we provide and the financial impact of what we do.  I want to know about my clients so I can better serve their needs.

If you would like to do business with a company that cares about you as a person, not just a number, I encourage you to reach out to us.  Call us at 310-534-5577 or e-mail [email protected].  My staff and I are ready to hear the needs you have so we can find the best solutions for your situation.  We are here to help and get to know you as a person at the same time.  We look forward to assisting you!
