Becca and Mrs Price One thing I love about my business is that my staff and I get to know my clients. I don’t mean get to know their name, business name, address, and what we do for them. I mean that we get to know who they are, learn about their families, what they enjoy doing, and more. Of course not every relationship is as close, and we don’t know everything about them, but for those who interact with us more, it is an enjoyable experience.

I’ve heard feedback from many that this is one of the reasons they like working with us. When they call, a friendly voice answers the phone and gives them the information they need. E-mails are responded to reasonably quickly, and work is done efficiently.

One of my clients I really enjoy is elderly and unable to see or hear well. She became frustrated with the paperwork she couldn’t handle as easily and had me start helping her with bill paying and reconciling her accounts. She hired me over 4 years ago, and we’ve developed a close relationship over the years. Because she is alone, I want to take her places periodically so she isn’t stuck at home. Some of our excursions have been for lunch or dinner, grabbing a frozen yogurt, or going to a local craft fair to pick up biscotti. She was even kind enough to let my parents stay in one of her rooms when they came out to visit a year and a half ago.

Her birthday was a couple of weeks ago. My husband, daughter and I picked her up for brunch (she was so happy to see Rebecca who is home from college and her internship this summer). She exclaimed it was a sweet surprise to have her along on this visit. We enjoyed a leisurely meal, and then surprised her by singing happy birthday. She was thrilled!

So why do I write all of this on my blog where we usually share bookkeeping/payroll/sales tax/business tips? Because I want you to learn more about myself as an individual business owner and see that my staff and I truly value the relationships we have with our clients. We want to know you as a person, not just a business owner. So feel free to share stories with us. We want to hear about your kids, your extra-curricular activities and more. Let us get to know you for who you really are.

Thanks for allowing us to help you with your business needs, and for sharing who you are with us.
