Shop Local presents the South Bay Business Mavericks Gala on October 29th at the Toyota Auto Museum. Five amazing speakers will present information on how they created sustainable businesses, and three local businesses with be receiving grant awards. The speakers who will be sharing what inspired them to launch their businesses and the lessons they’ve learned to help them thrive are:

Heide Maerker: Herald Publications
Sam Kartounian: Tic Time
Kirk Rossberg: Torrance Bakery
Local Businesses had the opportunity to apply for a grant by filling out an application and submitting a video. Included in their submission was what the funds would be used for to help them grow their businesses. A judging panel will be deciding who will be receiving the awards. Winners will be announced at the Gala.
