This week I celebrated my 10th business anniversary as Affordable Bookkeeping and Payroll Services (also known as AB&P). It was a special day and I was glad I had the chance to thank my clients and business associates who have supported us all these years. I had a party in my office with fabulous food, great networking among the guests, and a couple of fun activities as well!
Many of you may not know that I actually started my own bookkeeping services in December 2002, but I originally worked from home under a different business name. In 2005 I began working from an office I shared with someone else and she told me to name my business “Affordable something” so we could use the same phone lines. Since I provided bookkeeping and payroll services, I named it Affordable Bookkeeping and Payroll Services.

I’ve been to quite a few events they have planned/catered, and I’ve had them cater two of my own events and everyone always raves about the food! - Sweet Creations: http://www.sweetcreationsbakeryshop.com/ 310-790-2253 – A business friend (to be described below) posted on facebook that she had a new client and mentioned visiting her location to support the new endeavor. I had my staff call the next day to describe my event, our needs, and determine pricing. They decorated cupcakes to try to match my business colors as closely as possible and even had them prepared on their day off (the only day of the week they are closed was my event, but they made them for us to be picked up that day anyway). And they were delicious!
- Gourmet Grindz: http://gourmetgrindz.com/ 310-658-1942 – Marianne Brooks is the owner and I’ve heard her talk about her coffee products for many years. Recently she started to mention coffee on tap as a new product offering, and I thought it would be a great addition to have for my guests. It would be a fantastic way for people to try it and get the word out about this new way to enjoy the beverage. Judging from the attendees going back for more, it was a hit! Even one of my staff members said he’d had multiple cups as it was so good! And Marianne did me a huge favor by offering to pick up the cupcakes for me.
- Fleur de Lis photography: http://www.fleurphoto.com/ 424-246-6742 Cynthia is an amazing photographer and has done my most recent head shots, family photos, and pictures used on my website. She was fantastic at my event and the time to turn them around was quick! If you are thinking of having photos taken of business or personal events, call her today!
I want to thank everyone who has supported me and my business throughout the years. Without you, we wouldn’t be successful, and the staff and I are truly thankful! I’m looking forward to another 10+ more years at least!
